This Bumblebee Jasper comes from the volcanic slopes of Mount Ciremai in West Java, Indonesia, where the mineral-rich deposits produce those warm amber and charcoal bands the varietal is known for. Jeremy cut the stone right here at the bench, and Les carried it through to a finished piece. The banding runs in tight, irregular ribbons, each one a little different from the next.
