Blue dumortierite sits in the quartz family, and this stone shows the deep, inky blue the material is known for. Jeremy cut it from rough and shaped the cabochon here at the bench before Les set it into a finished piece. The color is solid and saturated, the kind of blue that holds its own in any light.

The color is the draw on this one, a saturated, even green that chrysoprase from this region is known for. At 14 carats, it is a compact stone with enough presence to stand on its own. A quiet, confident piece of material that does not need much talking up.$1,700 / pieceOne of one View piece Chrysoprase ChrysopraseQuartz / Chalcedony family, Sourced from Queensland, AustraliaAustralian chrysoprase from Queensland, a rich apple-green chalcedony with the even, saturated color that made this locality famous.
